The Rice Creek Boys & Girls Club has received accreditation by the prestigious Council on Accreditation (COA). COA is recognized nationally for accreditation of human service programs and agencies. The organization developed it’s after school program standards in partnership with the National After School Association and by consulting with education experts across the country.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands (BGCM) works to give young people a sense of hope, a sense of opportunity, and a sense that anything is possible. Through our after school programs, BGCM helps young people, especially those who need us the most, reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Caring, committed youth development professionals provide children with positive role models, daily encouragement, and the opportunity to learn and grow.
Each day members of the Boys & Girls Club participate in a variety of fun, purposeful programs in our five core program areas: Health & Life Skills; Sports, Fitness, & Recreation; Character & Leadership Development; The Arts and Education & Career Development. Monday through Thursday includes Power Hour: an hour-long session where an environment is provided that is conducive to homework is created. Fridays are Fun Fridays and involve a multitude of activities that are centered on a selected theme.
